The Barangay Labor Desk, now known as Reload, was relaunched in response to the challenges brought about by the ongoing pandemic. The event took place at the Pasay City Astrodome on May 10, 2023.

"Now, we focus on Livelihood. Trabaho para sa bawat isang Pasayeño. That is our goal. We want to strengthen the effective promotion of sustainable livelihood for all. We aim to open more opportunities within everyone's reach. But our objectives do not stop there. If their skills or experience are insufficient, we will also conduct various skills training programs to enhance their abilities and pave the way for better opportunities," said Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, the Mother of Pasay City.

Various government agencies and branches expressed their support for the program. Among them were Filipinas Rosario Cea Sampang, PESO Manager; Enrique S. Pascual III, Community Affairs Office IV, PCBB; Rizal Bautista, TESDA Pasay-Makati District Director; Atty. Gerald Peter Mariano, Director of DOLE; Elizabeth N. Lopez De Leon, Assistant Secretary for Community Participation of DILG. Also present were members of the Pasay City government, including Vice Mayor Ding Del Rosario, Cong. Antonino G. Calixto, Julie Gonzales, President of the Liga ng mga Barangay. Joining them were Kon. Joey Calixto Isidro, Chairman of the Committee on Livelihood; Kon. Mark Calixto, and CUP President Rosanie Estuche.

The Reload program aims to revitalize and enhance the livelihood opportunities available to the residents of Pasay City. With the challenges brought about by the pandemic, it becomes crucial to provide support and assistance to individuals and communities in their pursuit of sustainable income-generating activities.

Under Reload, the Barangay Labor Desk will serve as a focal point for employment-related concerns, providing guidance and assistance to job seekers and entrepreneurs alike. The program will not only focus on job placement but also on skills development through training programs tailored to the needs of the community.

The collaboration among different government agencies and local stakeholders demonstrates a collective commitment to empowering Pasay City residents with the necessary tools and opportunities for economic growth. By providing access to skills training and livelihood programs, Reload aims to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to secure better job prospects and financial stability.

The launch of Reload marks a significant milestone in the city's efforts to address the challenges of unemployment and economic recovery. With the support of the government and the active involvement of the community, the program seeks to create a positive impact by empowering individuals, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.

As the Reload program gains momentum, it is expected to serve as a catalyst for positive change in Pasay City, contributing to the overall economic development and well-being of its residents. The commitment of Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and the various stakeholders involved ensures that Reload will continue to evolve and adapt to the changing needs of the community.

Residents of Pasay City can look forward to a brighter future with increased access to employment opportunities, skills enhancement programs, and a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
