The City of Pasay showed its full support for the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) during the BIDA Bayanihan sa Mamamayan Fun Run and Serbisyo Caravan held on February 26, 2023. The BIDA, which stands for Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan, is a program initiated by the DILG that aims to protect citizens against illegal drugs. This advocacy is also shared by the City of Pasay, which has declared several drug-cleared barangays.

"We join the DILG and our public sector, our beloved constituents, in this country-wide advocacy with full enthusiasm and support. Trust that Pasay City will always be with you in the road towards a drug-free society," said the Mother of Pasay City, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano.

The BIDA Bayanihan sa Mamamayan Fun Run and Serbisyo Caravan is part of the government's efforts to promote community involvement in the anti-illegal drug campaign. The event featured a fun run, medical and dental services, legal consultations, and livelihood assistance, among others.

Mayor Calixto-Rubiano expressed her gratitude to the DILG for initiating such programs that promote the welfare of the community. She also reiterated the City of Pasay's commitment to support the government's efforts in fighting illegal drugs.

The event was attended by local officials, barangay captains, and other stakeholders who share the same advocacy. The City of Pasay also provided assistance to ensure the success of the program.
