Pasay offers free rides to women in March
In celebration of National Women's Month, the Ina ng Lungsod ng Pasay has launched a new service for women called "Juana Ride- Libreng Sakay sa Kababaihan." This project is in partnership with the Pasay Tricycle and Pedicab Franchising Office (PTPFO) and aims to provide free rides to women in different areas of the city.
Starting on March 6 until March 31, the service will be available from Mondays to Fridays at 9am to 2pm for the general public and 3pm to 5pm for city employees going from the City Hall to drop-off points located at EDSA-C. Jose Malibay, Dominga, Leveriza, FB Harrison - Vito Cruz, FB Harrison - MOA, Libertad - M. Dela Cruz, and Protacio - Cabrera.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Ina ng Lungsod ng Pasay, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who believes that women should have equal access to transportation services in the city.
She hopes that this program will make it easier for women to go about their daily lives without worrying about transportation costs.
The "Juana Ride- Libreng Sakay sa Kababaihan" project is one of the many programs launched by the Ina ng Lungsod ng Pasay to empower women and promote gender equality in the city.
