City University of Pasay honors outstanding employees

The City University of Pasay (CUP) celebrated its 29th founding anniversary yesterday, May 9, 2023. As part of the celebration, the university recognized 38 outstanding employees who received the Service Award for their remarkable contribution to the institution.

In a message from the Mother of Pasay, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, she emphasized the importance of recognizing the excellence of their colleagues to uplift their spirits and congratulate them for a job well done. She also highlighted the importance of recognizing their achievements as an inspiration to everyone around them, motivating them to do better and strive for excellence.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Pasay City Astrodome and attended by various city officials, including Kon. Mark Calixto, Kon. Joey Calixto, Kon. Donna Vendivel, Kon. Jennifer Panaligan, and the representative of Kon. Edith Mangguerra, as well as Dr. Rosanie Estuche, the OIC-President of CUP.

Dr. Estuche expressed her gratitude to the awardees for their hard work and dedication to the university, saying that they are the backbone of the institution. She also acknowledged the challenges they faced during the pandemic and how they managed to overcome them, ensuring the continuity of quality education and services for the students.

The Service Awardees were chosen based on their length of service, outstanding performance, and significant contributions to the university. Each of them received a plaque of recognition, a medal, and a cash prize as a token of appreciation for their exemplary work.

The City University of Pasay, a local university funded by the City Government of Pasay, has been providing quality education to Pasayenos for almost three decades. It offers various courses, including Bachelor's degrees in Education, Business Administration, Engineering, and Information Technology, among others. With its commitment to excellence, CUP aims to produce graduates who will become competent professionals and responsible citizens of the country.
