NAIA returning to normal operations
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is returning to normal operations on Tuesday, according to Manila International Airport Authority general manager Ed Monreal.
On Sunday evening, flights to and from the airport were put on hold following the phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano. NAIA resumed partial operations at noontime on Monday.
Plus, mga recovery flights,” he added.
To accommodate more flights, Monreal said they will operate for 24 hours like on Monday. Usually, NAIA operates on 22 hours, with two hours allotted for maintenance.
