Pasay cites interventions to reduce Covid cases
Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said local interventions have played a major role in decreasing the number of COVID-19 cases in the city, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Among interventions to which Rubiano credited the decrease in cases to are the practice of the EMI Habit (Ensure to always wash your hands, Mask is a must, and Implement social distancing) and apprehension of health protocol violators.
The mayor said 203 individuals have been caught violating health protocols in the city from the eve of March 30 to early morning of March 31.
Out of the 203, 143 were apprehended for violating the curfew, 45 for not wearing a face mask, and 10 for not wearing a face shield, and five for not observing social distancing.
Rubiano meanwhile urged Pasay residents anew to keep observing basic health protocols and follow the EMI habit.
