Pasay donates booster shots to Senate

The Pasay City government donated about 100 vials of Pfizer vaccines in support of the booster vaccination campaign for employees of the Senate of the Philippines, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiaano was the guest speaker at the launching of the Senate’s booster shot program with the theme: “Sa Booster Kaisa ang Senado, Para Empleyado Todo Protektado” on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Dr. Malou San Juan, Pasay City Health Office (CHO) head, said about 10 employees at the Senate received the booster shot during the kick-off event.

San Juan said more than 400 Senate employees are scheduled to receive the booster shot.

The mayor said the booster shot program of the Senate is in support of the “PinasLakas” program of the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. which aims to expand the administration of booster shots to all Filipinos against Covid-19.

Aside from Rubiano, also present during the launching of the program were Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, Department of Health Officer-in-Charge Dr. Maria Rosario Clarissa Singh-Vergeire, and National Task Force Chief Implementer Sec. Carlito Galvez.
