Pasay mayor pays tribute to women
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay City paid tribute to all women who continue to fight and stand up for their families and the nation in a flag-raising ceremony held earlier today, March 6, 2023, led by the Pasay Bureau of Fire Protection.
In her statement, the Ina ng Lungsod ng Pasay recognized the two celebrations in March: the Fire Prevention Month and the National Women’s Month.
Mayor Emi emphasized the role of firefighters in maintaining the safety of every Pasayeño against fire incidents. She thanked them for their service and the spirit of bayanihan that prevails every time there is a fire outbreak.
She also highlighted the various activities lined up for the celebration of National Women’s Month, including the Pink Lane in government offices at the Bulwagang Pampamahalaan, which aims to prioritize women in their transactions.
In her closing statement, Mayor Emi expressed her salute to all the Juana, regardless of gender, and assured everyone that they can expect honest and dedicated public service.
"I want to pay tribute and recognition to all women who continue to fight and stand up for their families and nation. Those who give more than enough in the name of honest service. Salute to our Juana," said Mayor Emi.
