Pasay mayor underscores importance of quality education
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay City emphasized the importance of providing quality education to the youth in her recent speech during the flag-raising ceremony held on May 8, 2023. The event was led by the City University of Pasay in celebration of the National Flag Day.
The mayor shared her learnings from her study tour in the Netherlands and how education played a significant role in the development of the city. She reiterated her commitment to ensuring that education is accessible to everyone and that the quality of education provided is of the highest standard.
Mayor Emi also recognized the mothers of Pasay City for their dedication and hard work in supporting their children's education. She pointed out that they are the ones who make their houses into homes and the teachers and staff in the academy serve as mothers to the students, ensuring that they have a bright future through quality education and proper facilities.
The event also recognized the outstanding employees of the City University of Pasay, who were awarded Service Awards for their contributions to the institution.
In closing, Mayor Emi reminded everyone to continue dreaming and to fulfill their duties to reach their goals and aspirations towards building an EcoCity. She emphasized the importance of working together as a community to achieve progress and development for Pasay City.
