Pasay to hold free X-ray screenings on World TB Day
In commemoration of the World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, the City Health Office of Pasay, in partnership with the Mayor's Office and national health organizations such as DOH, PBSP under Access TB, and Culion Foundation, will be conducting free chest X-ray screenings this March by visiting different barangays in the city.
The initiative aims to promote awareness on the prevention and early detection of TB, a highly infectious respiratory disease that affects thousands of Filipinos each year.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the free service and visit their local health centers for more information on the schedule of screenings and the locations where the mobile chest X-ray units will be stationed.
With early detection and proper treatment, TB can be cured, and through initiatives like this, the city of Pasay hopes to improve the health outcomes of its residents and contribute to the global efforts in the fight against TB.
