MMDA, Pasay inaugurate Libertad sewage treatment plant
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Pasay City Government inaugurated the Libertad Sewage Treatment Plan (STP) today, February 28, 2023.
The program aims to reduce the fecal coliform level found in Manila Bay. Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who was represented by Chief of Staff Peter Pardo, expressed the city's commitment to the rehabilitation and preservation of Manila Bay.
The city government sees this as a crucial step towards maintaining order and sanitation in the city.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives from the MMDA, DENR, DILG, and Pasay City government officials.
