Pasay police arrest minor for sale of illegal drugs
A 17-year-old out-of-school youth was arrested by members of the Pasay Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in a buy-bust operation and confiscated from him P47,600 worth of shabu on Dec. 12, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
Col. Byron Tabernilla, city police chief, said the suspect, identified as alias Net, was listed in the police drug watchlist and was tagged as a street level individual (SLI).
Tabernilla said the suspect was arrested around 8:30 p.m. along Saint Elena St. Barangay 186, Pasay City.
He said members of the DEU and Sub-Station 5 conducted the buy-bust operation for the arrest of the suspect after a concerned citizen reported his illegal drug activity.
The city police chief said confiscated from the suspect were seven grams of shabu worth P47,600 and the P400 buy-bust money.
Tabernilla said the recovered shabu was turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
He said the suspect is now detained at the Station Detective and Management Unit (SDMU) custodial facility.
