Pasay mayor shares stories with children
Pasay City, Philippines - In celebration of National Children's Month on November 6, 2023, Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano of Pasay City took a seat and engaged in storytelling with 60 young Pasayeños from various Day Care Centers across the city.
Mayor Emi shared a heartwarming story about Lilay, the "Batang Matamlay" (listless child), who resembled a grandma narrating tales alongside her lively and playful grandchildren. Her captivating storytelling not only entertained but also imparted valuable life lessons to the attentive young audience.
The story of Lilay struck a chord with the children, as it emphasized the importance of family, love, and sharing in a way that was relatable to their own lives.
